As a teenager, Kate’s interest in chiropractic grew, ever since she saw her father avoid his scheduled spinal surgery after visiting a chiropractor. Kate herself experienced regular migraines and tonsillitis for over 11 years, and it was not until she underwent chiropractic care at university did these conditions disappear for good. Kate knows first hand how chiropractic care can change the health and lives of families and she feels passionate about spreading this message.
After graduating in 2004 with an BSc Hons. from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic (University of Glamorgan) Kate further developed her skills at a number of chiropractic clinics in the UK before moving home to Kerry to open up Vitality Chiropractic. Originally from Ballybunnion, Kate is delighted to be home.
My area of special interest is caring for mothers-to-be, helping them have wonderful pregnancies and labours. As a proud mom to two little Slades, who were both born at home, I am passionate about empowering women to have their choice of labour and help them to get their bodies as “birth-ready" as possible.
Following a spinal injury in 1997, James found himself being passed around from specialist to specialist with no relief. Eventually going through a course of chiropractic care and seeing a dramatic turnaround in his quality of life, was all the encouragement he needed to enrol in chiropractic college. After graduating in 2004 with a BSc(Hons) in chiropractic from the University of Glamorgan, James lived in northern England where he gained a wealth of experience working with different chiropractors before moving to Tralee with wife Kate.
James is a keen triathlete and regularly competes in Ironman events. As well as enjoying fatherhood, James has a keen interest in nutrition and supplementation and enjoys watching movies in his spare time.
I believe everybody can regain and retain much more of their health than they realise. With chiropractic care, exercise, good nutrition and supplementation anything is possible. I am here to help you realise that possibility.
